2nd attempt...

So I just had to try the ruffles again with a regular shirt. This used to be long-sleeved, but I cut off the sleeves and made ruffles in the front with them. It turned out way better than the last shirt I tried this with!

so do you think its because this one has a lower neckline that it looks better? Or is it just that it was the same color?
